I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1995 and I am registered with the Health Professions Commission. I have 13 years experience working within the NHS at both Airedale General and Skipton hospitals in a variety of specialties, but over the past 6 years I chose to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Prior to this I was a lecturer and researcher in Biomechanics and Sports Science and gained my Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Medicine from Sheffield University in 1990. I am qualified to use acupuncture and I am a member of both the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and the Physiotherapy Pain Association. I am currently working towards a PhD at Leeds Metropolitan University researching the use of acupuncture for cancer-related pain.

Living just outside Skipton on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, I work at Airedale General Hospital and also run a small domiciliary private practice from home, specialising in acupuncture, musculoskeletal physiotherapy and exercise prescription.

My interests are many and varied but I particularly enjoy running and playing my euphonium in The Haworth Brass Band.
