Carole qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1995 and is registered with the Health Professions Commission. She has over 15 years experience working in the NHS specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. More recently she has specialised in the treatment of pain and in particular the treatment of pain using acupuncture and TENS. Prior to this she has been a lecturer and researcher in Biomechanics and Sports Science and gained her Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Medicine from Sheffield University in 1990. Carole is currently studying part-time at Leeds Metropolitan University for a PhD in acupuncture for cancer-induced bone pain.
Carole is qualified to use acupuncture and is a member of both the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and the Physiotherapy Pain Association.
Living just outside Skipton on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, her interests include running, orienteering and playing her euphonium in a Brass Band.
